Arias provided Construction Materials Testing services as a sub-consultant for the Independent Engineer (IE) on the North Tarrant Express (NTE) Project in Fort Worth, Texas. The five (5) year Design-Build project encompassed approximately 14 miles of roadway and associated improvements with an estimated construction cost of approximately two (2) billion dollars.

Specifically, the project consisted of a series of major highway improvements to the IH-820 and SH-121/183 corridor between IH-35 West and Industrial Boulevard in North Tarrant County. The project was designed to relieve congestion, improve safety and provide for anticipated growth in this fast developing North Texas region.

Construction Materials Testing services included: sample subgrade testing, select fill testing, flexible base testing, backfill material testing, density compaction testing, concrete drilled pier observation, wood frame observation, stone masonry walls observation, nuclear density compaction testing, and structural steel observation.
