Project Description
Arias provided Geotechnical Engineering and Construction Materials Testing services for the construction of the 58,000 SF Altstadt Brewery in Fredericksburg, Texas. Altstadt Brewery is a unique destination to enjoy world-class beer, listen to live music, take in a Texas Hill Country sunset from the Biergarten and savor delicious food all in a Bavarian-inspired environment. The brewery is also only one of four in the US to use open fermentation vessels to produce the finest, hand-crafted, top fermenting beers in centuries old German tradition.
Over the last 5 years the project has been broken up into three different construction phases.
Phase I of the project included a 17,676 SF commercial production brewery, with approximately 3,838 SF of the facility lying at the mezzanine level and consists of a metal deck and concrete floor on structural steel frame.
Phase II of the project consists of 36,750 SF commercial facility including a retail area, bar, restaurant, commercial kitchen, events halls, biergerten, wine cellar, office area, a 40,000 gallon water storage tank, and private residence.
Phase III of the project is currently under construction and will include a warehouse expansion and expanded surface parking areas.
