Project Description
Arias provided Geotechnical Engineering and Construction Materials Testing services for the design and construction of the new two-story 80,354 SF Windsor Park Elementary School in Corpus Christi, Texas. The new elementary school is one of three new campuses constructed through the 2014 Corpus Christi Independent School District Bond Program.
The new building includes a new science lab, computer and art labs, a music room and a media center. With its new design it is more energy efficient by using more natural light, the library has wide skylights, and classrooms that don’t have windows have ceiling fixtures that bring in natural light from solar panels. The new re-purposed campus space also accommodated room for a larger parking area, and heightened security features, including cameras, high visibility in its main hallway and entrances that can only be opened by staff members who swipe their badges.
