As a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) sub-consultant, Arias provided Construction Materials Testing services for the construction of the new 1.5M SF Globe Life Field that will be the new home of the Texas Rangers in Arlington, Texas.
The ballpark was constructed utilizing all materials from Texas including: steel from Justin, curtainwall system from Alba, masonry veneer from Denison, precast walls from Corsicana, and limestone from Lampasas. The roof at Globe Life Field is the first of its kind in baseball, with portions made of a transparent material, Rangers fans will enjoy outdoor ambience in air-conditioned comfort. The roof retracts in a matter of minutes, bringing the great outdoors to the ballpark experience. The ballpark is also one of the few major league baseball stadiums to include synthetic grass instead of natural grass, and is be able to seat approximately 40,000 fans.
Specifically, Arias provided Construction Materials Testing services for the masonry and concrete materials including 10,000 cubic yards of concrete for the lower concourse, and 6,575 cubic yards for the 725 concrete columns.
