Project Description
Arias provided Construction Materials Testing Services for the construction of the three-story 148,000 GSF Island Hall Building. This facility is the largest academic building on campus, and serves as home to the College of Nursing and Health Sciences and the College of Education’s Kinesiology. Services included field density tests on backfill material, observation of footing sub grades, molding and breaking of concrete cylinders, beams and determination of air content, densities, stability and asphalt content on HMAC, gradations, visual observation on structural welds, Atterberg limits, triaxial, and wet ball mill.
